Ok....I have these guages and the only wire left is a red one thatssupposed to go to the 12 volt power supply of each engine being monitored. They come off the Tachs and end with a round connector. WHERE do they go???? Are they supposed to go to the ignition? I have 2 quicksilver ignitions and they are sealed on the back with the standard 8 million wires comin out the back. according to this website, using merc wiring colors, i should use the purple wire....however there are 2 purple(solid) wires running out the back. Which one should I use. The merc manual does show them both but doesnt tie the red wire into them on the diagrams......so..where should they go?
i have 2001 optimax 150's and use the non can setup according to the manual.
since the diagram doesnt show the red wire tying into the ignition, where should they go? I'll admit it sounds easy, but im a gunners mate not an engineer in real life. I would think they would tie into the wiring block with the 12v power for each engine, but the wiring is a mess on this boat.
Any help would be appreciated....other than the read the manual answers that is.
Thanks
