I have a 2000 Outrage 28. Went on the maiden voyage last Saturday. Boat ran well but then the GPS unit just shut down. The house battery is less than a year old. The battery charger lights were not on. Plugged in the shore power and by Sunday morning the green lights were back on. It sounds to me that the house battery is not getting charged while underway. Any help would be appreciated. [Thanks]

You need a volt meter. Least expensive I've seen is at Harbor Freight. Measure the voltage across the battery terminals before and after starting (and running) the engine.

We need more information on how your boat electrical system is configured.
