Never seen this question addressed before. I need to run new bow light wires on my project 13 footer behind rubrail.
Would the wires go between the gunwale and the L-moulding, on top of the L-moulding behind the receiver or behind the rub rail insert?

I've installed two,on a 13'and a17'. On both I've installed the hard plastic receiver track, then the wiring, then the rubber rub rail. Works well. I use stainless steel pop rivets, they seem to hold better than screws.

I updated the FAQ to include advice to run the wiring between the plastic receiver track and the vinyl insert.
