Recommend a fishfinder that costs less than $150. On that same note, recommend any NOT to consider.

I have a Garmin Fishfinder 90 on my 160 Dauntless. It's a fairly simple unit, but seems to perform well. I get a good read on the bottom up to about 35 MPH and 50 feet of depth, or down to at least 250 feet off plane. It's about $90. The Garmin 140 looks like a nice unit with a bit of a larger screen, about $115.

Look at EAGLE brand SONAR devices. They seem to be excellent values. They tend to be similar to LOWRANCE units but always sell for less.
