alexbw13	posted 08-07-2007 12:13 PM ET (US)         The tachometer died on my 13 Sport [with Evinrude outboard motor]. What is the best one to replace it? Please include price.
jimh	posted 08-07-2007 10:01 PM ET (US)             There is a conventional wisdom that Evinrude motors need an OEM tachometer to work best, but I really do not understand the reason for this. I hope someone can explain why this might be true. But if not, there are several good brands of after-market tachometers available, such a Teleflex.
