Tell me the wiring for the trim meter and the colors of the wiring [for a Yamaha 115-HP two-cycle outboard], please. The trim sender on the engine has only three wires from it but the loom I have for it has four wires in it.

If you don't have a shop manual for your engine, I suggest the investment. Comes with a full wiring diagram.

My experience with Yamaha motors is that the owner's manual (included with the motor) has a diagram for the electrical connections. It is tiny, but it shows everything. If you don't have one you might be able to find it on-line as a PDF file.
