Don't know how I'd use it either. As soon as you zoom in,
the charts disappear.

You can get all the charts in both digital and raster format
from http://nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/ . There are
free viewing programs.

Make sure you are over a charted area and not Mid Atlantic.
I think it is pretty neat.

Works now. Dunno what I did before. I was on a charted area.
I zoomed in just a bit and the charts disappeared.

Very cool indeed, they caught me running the Revenge outside the Duluth/Superior harbor! Smile--never know when you might be on camera these days!

GeoGarage has done an impressive amount of work in combining NOAA charts with satellite imagery from Google Earth. I like the visual mixing control that allows the transparency to be adjusted.
