Help me with the installation of a SystemCheck tachometer. My motor harness has the pin configuration which will plug into the gauge, but how do I wire it to power and ground? Any help most appreciated.

Thanks!

Dave

Dave--the 8-pin Deutsch plug for the OMC SystemCheck tachometer contains the power and ground connections.

Thanks Jim,

Been away extended time for work. Installed it this past weekend on Hull 710, hated to cut, but...I did in upper left corner. From what you say, as soon as I make the connection, it should work, including the lighting?? Any advice on calibration?/set up of dials on back of the gauge. Also wondering if there is any good way to run a transducer cable down the stern without drilling holes in the hull? I thought of attaching a narrow stirp of mahogany with adhesive and then securing the cable with "U" loops anchored into the wood strip. Any input on where in the transom the transducer for a small Humminbird depth gauge should be placed on console side and how far up from the bottom of the hull?? Lots of questions, appreciate the help much!!!!!!!!

Dave
