No Audio Output From FM Radio Receiver

I have a new Galaxy 5225xt antenna, and a new Uniden Oceanus VHF [Marine Band radio]. The radio powers up fine, however I get no sound out of the speaker. I have tried weather channels. Using my handheld Icom m72 (also new) I can hear weather channels. How should I test to determine [if the malfunction is in] the radio or the antenna?

To test the audio output from the receiver, turn the SQUELCH control to the full-counterclockwise position. Advance the VOLUME control clockwise. A loud hiss or white noise signal should be heard from the speaker. Let us know the outcome of this test.

Sorry for not being clear I have no sound at all.
At least I have the Icom as back up and won't be going anywhere I need the larger unit in the near future.

If you followed the test procedure I gave and the radio did not produce the sound output described, then the malfunction is in the radio, not the antenna.

I will double check when I get back in town, I believe I tested in that manner.

new radio seams to work fine, at least I get weather. I am going to try and get out in the am.
