In error, I cut the RG-59C/U cable near the antenna. The cable is routed through the hardtop on my 255 Conquest which is stuffed with wires. How do I correct this?

There is really no good way to splice flexible coaxial transmission line. I suggest installing a pair of connectors, one male and one female. Put the male connector on the lead from the antenna, the female on the lead to the transceiver. I suggest using BNC series connectors.

I also answered this question when it was appended to an article on another topic.

Also, I deleted several other questions on non-electrical topics. Please do not use SMALL BOAT ELECTRICAL for articles on non-electrical topics.
