I just installed a Tune Trapper FM broadcast band antenna in my center console. It is 24-inches long. It is nicely made and pulls in signals very well, much better than most small FM broadcast band antennas. I looked for a while before finding this antenna. It comes in either a center-fed or end-fed version.

I would be interested in knowing how good this antenna is for AM reception.

It does not work very well as an AM Broadcast Band Antenna, it is sold and marketed as a FM Broadcast Band Antenna.

Looking at the webpage that you linked, I am struck by the fact that this just looks like a half-wave dipole. Are there any active components in this device?

Just curious.
