Visit this new GARMIN interactive website to see if your computer's processor, sound card, graphic card, network card, your browser, and your network connection are up to date and can display all the multimedia content.

If so, find out about the new products mentioned!

Had a quick spin around all the sexy graphics but at the end it just dumps you back in the normal website for info.

Nice to see NMEA2000 intergration bar radar could not find digital compass though, so how do you overlay radar/gps/map data

Waiting to see more on Lowrance HDS High-Def System maybe will bring small boat radar/chart/sonar in to sensable prices with small screen(s) layout options.

Regards
Steve

I did manage to navigate (or interact) with the GARMIN website well enough to discover they have two new VHF Marine Band Digital Selective Calling radios coming out in the second quarter of 2009. I guess that means around June, 2009. Both radios are Class-D DSC rated. One has the usual NMEA-0183 serial data interface, and the other, more expensive model also has NMEA-2000 network certification (or will have). The control interface for both radios uses three soft keys. They have a large display which provides for labeling of the function of the soft keys.

I am not certain if this is GARMIN's first VHF Marine Band radio product or not. They look like interesting radios, and they'll probably be popular with mariners who have GARMIN chart plotters and other electronics.
