The commonly used modern(cheap) small vessel circuit breakers are new to me. Was recently surprised after removing it's dust/moisture cover that it could be reset but could not be pulled out to open the circuit. My previous experience has been with similar CBs on aircraft that can be pulled out to open or toggle type marine CBs.
It is an inconvenience when removing power from a circuit for troubleshooting or maintenance. With that type of CB if the boat isn't equipped with a battery switch removing power requires disconnecting the battery. It pretty much eliminates
being able to do this while underway.
Seems ABYC and other manufacturer groups have managed to sell us on a slick looking product that doesn't even function as well as a simple fuse.
Just wanted to throw the thought out.
