Well, I finally got around to taking some pictures of my new GPS plotter and VHF setup. The plotter is a Raymarine A60. The VHF is a Standard Horizon GX1500S with a VH-310 remote mic and a Shakespeare Galaxy 5401-XT antenna. I'm very happy with the setup after sorting out some minor issues. Here are some pictures: current=Pictures166.jpg current=Pictures168.jpg current=Pictures170.jpg current=Pictures171.jpg current=Pictures172.jpg current=Pictures174.jpg current=Pictures175.jpg

Here's my previous thread discussing the VH-310, which works well:

Thanks for following up.

The setup looks great. Well done! Scenery is great too.

Thanks Phil. I suppose the scenery is pretty nice. I even got a couple other classic Whalers in the pics! Heck, I should post a few pics of the wood on that Montauk. I have it all varnished and it looks fantastic. It's the neighbour's and they love it. I'll have to try to get my camera out on the Bay more this summer. Especially during the Laser World Championships at our sailing club. I'm sure there will be lots of Whalers around then and I'll be making good use of the new gear. Hope you've been getting some good boating in on your Outrage 17 this season!

Hi Chris,

I just installed a Raymarine A65 on my 1973 19' Outrage. I love it. Next comes an interfaced autopilot. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Dino,

Glad to share. I am happy with the setup. The only thing that's a bit annoying is the obstructions looking forward when I'm sitting on the RPS. That was the best position for the A60 though and I don't sit on the RPS at speed often anyway. In fact, I've been considering replacing it with a leaning post at some point.
The A65 is a nice unit as well. I imagine it will work well with the autopilot.
