Hi every body. Where can I get an instilation diagram for a GPSMAP230. Some kind person disconected all the wiring and removed the GPS from my boat, then got caught red handed (ha ha). Problem =No diagram, and no idea. Can any one help? Please.

See Appendix A, page 68 here:

[A google search on "Garmin GPSMAP230 Manual" came up with this as the 2nd listing.]

No worries mate, that is why we are here.

Let us know how the install goes. Post some photos of your boat and area so the members can be envious.

Hi me again every thing worked well thanks to Phil T. This is my first boat with a hull this shape. I'm used to a deep V as in the Northumberian COBLE. They both handle very differently in a heavy N/Easterly but I'm a quick learner when wet. I have some pictures of the boat and a google earth snap of the area but I can't work out how to put them up, ANY ONE HELP?
Thanks.

Put them on a pictures site like Flickr and post the URL.
JimH is good enough to generally not allow stuff that makes
the site slow.

Thank you mate, done as said the url is

I hope It works?
The boats that you guys have are in a slightly different class (a bit posher) to the ones we use. Most of the boats up here like yours belong to people who come here for a few weeks in the year the rest of the time they are wrapped up in cotton wool in the boat yard.
Any way I realise this site is for whalers and not old fishing boats and If there are any complaints well.

My thanks to Phil T for the info on the GARMIN It works great. (I still like a chart).

And thanks to Chuck for flickr.

Catch you all next time.
Cheers beers and big fish.
