Lowrance has redeemed itself. About six months ago I was very frustrated with the lack of customer service at Lowrance, so I called the head of Navico north America and explained the problem. He was very courteous and told me the problem would be taken care of and to call him if needed. I called Lowrance today and found not only do they have a new website which is very good and well laid out, BUT they answered the phone in 3 rings. Customer service was outstanding and the problem was resolved with my GPS antennae. The company has been turned around by NAVICO. high sierra

This may be related to the recent ending of the JIHAD AGAINST LOWRANCE. It seems as if not all of the insurgent groups got the message from headquarters, as we are still seeing some activity from a few cells in the JIHAD.

I have a lowrance 3300c,purchased june 2004.first time it gave me a problem i sent it to lowrance they fixed it,same problem again. This time they say dont send it to us,we cant get parts for the 3300c.The problem is in the key board, unit comes on by itself, then back light goes crazy.I guess after five years with lowrance you throw it away.My ten year old garmin still going strong.I also have a lowrance 113c hd gps combo,it is just a year old, that will be a throw away also in three years.I hope lowrance can survive without me purchasing there products.

It sounds like Lowrance should prosper. Not giving you a free repair or replacement on a five year old unit should add directly to their bottom line.

I actually talked to a Lowrance tech rep today - he confirmed the troubles they had at launch of latest gear, admitted it, no BS and said they have resolved the issues, upped the customer support commitment and field reports are positive. I told him to tell his management they have a lot of work to do to get back the confidence of Michigan charter boat skipppers.

Sounds great

All twelve of them.

Pete--You didn't get the message: The JIHAD AGAINST LOWRANCE has ended.

I'll qualify my statement and say Lake Michigan charter boat skippers between South Haven and Ludington. That's accurate from my conversations which happen often.
