I want to change to an automatic bilge pump from a manual bilge pump on a 1999 Boston Whaler Montauk 17. The existing two-way panel-mounted rocker switch is a Carling V1DA, and I would like to change to a 3-way to facilitate the automatic pump. Are these switches still available? Where could I locate one? Any other suggestions on the hook up of the auto bilge pump would be welcomed. Could I come directly off the battery to the auto-on wire on the pump and not even need a 3-way switch? Thanks,

Barry

In the REFERENCE section an article shows the typical wiring of a bilge or sump pump to permit ON-OFF-AUTO settings. See

I don't have handy any reference for the Carling switches.

This might help you out getting the switch configuration you want.
