My [combined sidelight lamp on a Boston Whaler boat] does not illuminate when the switch is turned on unless I apply vertical pressure [to the lamp assembly]. I took the [lamp] apart and noticed two of the three clips holding the lens were broken. I went online to try finding a replacement lens but [from this cursory survey appears to have incorrectly jumped to the conclusion that] Boston Whaler only wants to sell me the entire bow chock unit in order to get the lens. Where can I get only the lens? Which manufacturer produced this piece?
Thanks in advance

If it is a Perko light you may be able to order from them or one of their outlets. Try Perko.com.

There have been many prior discussions about the replacement of the lens or filter on the combined sidelight lamp used by Boston Whaler. Some discussions seem to contradict your statement about the unwillingness of Boston Whaler to sell you a replacement lamp filter or lens at a reasonable price. See

If a manufacturer has a custom made lamp fixture, you may not be able to obtain replacement parts except via the manufacturer's replacement parts distributors. In the case of Boston Whaler replacement parts, some authorized dealers are more interested in serving their customers with replacement parts than others. You may find that a good source for replacement parts for Boston Whaler boats is a dealer with a strong parts department, such as TWIN CITIES MARINE in Two Rivers, Wisconsin.

Thanks for the leads. I'll follow up with Twin Cities.
