I was just at West Marine the other day and saw that Duracell is now making marine batteries. Anyone got a chance to try one out?

Re the large 12-volt lead-acid marine-use batteries sold under the brand name DURACELL: on the website presenting DURACELL marine batteries it says:

"DURACELL is a registered trademark of the Gillette Company."

It appears that the batteries are actually made by the East Penn Manufacturing company of Pennsylvania, one of the major battery manufacturers in the U.S. They also sell batteries under the DEKA brand.

That's interesting... Gillette is owned by Proctor & Gamble. My brother and sister in law both work there. Might have see about a possible hookup on some deals on a couple batteries. Probably won't happen though, my brother still has to buy shaving cream at the store even though he works there.

I grew a beard when I was 18, so I don't buy much shaving cream.
