There are half a dozen or more mounts advertised on the internet. Recommendations from an actual user, please.

I have the RAM flat surface mount and it works great. It has held my iPad securely in gales with 40 knots of wind and steep seas. Also easy to install and reasonably priced. I also know several people who have successfully used the RAM suction mount on boats.

This past weekend I purchased and installed a RAM 111U-B base for a chart/sonar device. While not the same as an iPad base, it is a finely put together piece of equipment with nice weight, heft and operation. A simple voucher for the company.

Thanks, guys. A friend who frequents the Sea Dory website told me that the RAM mount has received favorable reviews there as well.
