It seems like my Raymarine 55 radio is blowing fuses too often. Only correlation is radio display cut out when I keyed the mic last time out and on our way in from Lake Michigan. (N=1 observation) The other times I just found it would not turn on and traced to blown inline fuse, cause unknown. I now carry a baggie of fuses in the console.

This is the same radio that failed last season and was sent by my local dealer back to Ray for service. They replaced one of the boards.

Proper - I think 10 amp - I bought whatever specified by manufacturer.

Check the crimped connectors to make sure they are attached securely to the bus bar/terminal block

Make sure the terminal screws are tight.

Is the fuse holder in line or on the block? If in-line, open and inspect to ensure the fuse and caps are fully seated.

I am guessing not right fuse.

Yep - wrong fuse, manual says 10 Amp. Interesting that they blew when I keyed the mic to transmit. Okay, I grabbed the two amp fuses for my boat bag instead of 10 amps. Always good idea to read and double check the label.
