My electronics bench uses Anderson Power Pole connectors in the popular RigRunner device:

I have fitted Anderson Power Pole connector to all the 12-VDC device I use on the bench. I also have an Anderson Power Pole connector set up on the boat. If I want to make a temporary connection to the boat's 12-VDC power distribution, I can plug a device with a mating Anderson Power Pole connector into the cable.

The Anderson Power Pole connectors are available in size that can handle up to several hundred Amperes. Other Anderson connectors are in world wide use as 12-VDC battery connectors.
