I live in Atlanta, but my boat (fathers) is located on Isle of Palms. We are always in the intra coastal. Always looking to cruise the backwaters. |

I live in Mt pleas and am on the water about every weekend. We are taking a trip down to Beaufort in June. Should be fun. Where do you boat in Chas? I launch at Sullivans Island. |

I launch from IOP marina. We have a home on the back side of Isle of Palms, our dock is on Hamlem Creek. (? spelling) We mostly cruise up and down the intra coastal, fish the jetties, and a few close off shore reefs. The beach up near capers is where we go to let the dogs run. Bulls is also very nice. If your on the water this weekend keep your eyes open. My brother and dad will be out for sure. Our boat is a 86 Newport. The boat has the montauk c/c. This boat was shipped from the factory in ths configuration. The most identifying piece on the boat is the red rub rail and the red t-top. (being that most boats this size don't carry a t-top.) If you see them wave them down. They love to see other classics. |

I think I talked to your dad a couple of years ago at capers when I had my montauk. We have a dock in Awendaw about 2 miles past Moores landing, so I cruise the waterway around capers and bull all the time. Next time I see the boat I will flag it over. I have the 22 revenge with the black top. |

I usually put in at wappoo cut and fish all over..from the creeks to the ledge and anywhere in between. 22' Outrage "Reel Escape" . I would like to plan an overnight trip (hotel involved) sometime this summer. Either way on the waterway would be good. Have you done this from the Chas. area before? |

I live in Beaufort, right on the ICW.....planning an overnighter to Georgetown Landing Marina. There's a nice Hampton Inn adjacent to the marina. Also thinking about an overnighter to Conway. There's a B&B right on the Waccamaw River adjacent to the city marina. Joe |

Joe, We go from Chas to Georgetown a fair bit. There are some really good restuarants downtown on the water with dock acess in Georgetown. That should be a fun trip. Do you have the phone number for the marina in Beaufort and the hotel across the street?

Joe-I took a day trip up to Beaufort in my Outrage 22' during our spring vacation we spent on Tybee Island at the beginning of April - gorgeous territory! I think I gassed up, bought a soda and a t-shirt at the municipal marina there. What a fabulous area for boating - wish I lived closer. John |

Tyler, I saw the newport on the IOP about two weeks ago. Your house is about 1/4 from the Boat house rest and Breach Inlet. That is a great looking boat. The gunnels looked bigger than most boats that size. Granted I was driving down the road and did not stop just glanced. Your boat for sure because of the red t-top. I am making the trip to Beaufort for sure on Sat 16 June. Will let everyone know how it goes. Will have six people in my 22 revenge, another 4 in a 17 montauk and 4 others in yes a stingray. Thanks for the numbers at the marina and hotel. Hotel was a little expensive at 109 a night but who cares, it is all about fun. Steve |
