I will be leaving fri afternoon for a trip down the ditch to HH. Hope to see some whalers on the water. We will be going back to Chas on Monday. Boat is a 22 revenge with a black top. We took the montauk to Key Colony Beach in July, and I think the Keys is probably the best place to boat anywhere. What a beautiful place.

I agree, the Keys are some great boating - but I think you will find the Hilton Head area mighty fine, too. I think it is Daufuskie Island (or something close to that) that is the next island towards the Savannah River in the ICW; at least circumnavigating that is worth the price of admission too.
I'm sure you already know that it is no-wake in SC under all bridges (I didn't know - that isn't the case in GA where we started - found out the hard way by rocking the small boat a couple of SC officers were eating their lunch in tied of under a SC bridge). And that there is as much as a 6' to 8' tide in that area.
