WE NEED MORE HELP! Our fearless Whaler submarine leader, Scott Leidig is in need of as many whalers (with their captains) to help work the Chesapeake Bay Swim this weekend 6/8/03. Basic duties are to pull swimmers out of the water that cannot make the crossing and take them to an awaiting "mother boat." Swim starts Sun. morning at Sandy Pt. State Park, runs between the two bridges, and ends at Hemmingways Restaurant. (Hopefully I will have my 20 OR back in the water as its tough getting big, exhausted people over the side of my 13 w/o a ladder.) Free launching is available from the Park the morning of the event. If you need info, Ill try to contact Scott tonight, or tomorrow and post it on this thread. Thanks in advance if you can help us out. Mike. amisummers@aol.com

just some more clarification on the above info... Scott's call sign for the swim will be Whaler 1. We utilize channel 6. If you can help, show up and try reaching him there starting around 0730. -Mike. |
