Just curious if there is any interest in a trip to Lake Winnipeg / Lake Manitoba / Cedar Lake - or if anyone has operated on these lakes.

I'm thinking a combination of a fishing / camping type of trip....but may choose to wait until I upgrade to an 18' Outrage if fuel stops are too far apart.

"Named from the Cree Indian words for "muddy water," the lake is a remnant of glacial Lake Agassiz. With an average depth of about 50 feet, it is important for shipping and commercial fishing while its southern shore is a major resort area serving Winnipeg. Major islands include Hecla, Deer, and Black, which form part of Hecla Provincial Park. Fed by many rivers, including the Saskatchewan, Red, and Winnipeg, which drain a large part of the Great Plains, the lake is drained to the northeast by the Nelson River into Hudson Bay."
