To all committee members and all attendees I want to say thanks for making the First East Tennessee/Tellico Lake Rendezvous a grand success. Mother Nature provided us a glorious day and all went according to plan. It was a pleasure to meet every one and interesting that all attendees were members of the ContinuousWave website. We had a total attendance of 9 boats and 22 attendees, including 2 from Chattanooga, 2 from Nashville, 2 from Durham NC, and 1 from Florida. Unfortunately, due to hurricane weather and other unforeseen circumstances, we had about 9 boats cancel in the last week including 5 - 6 from out of state and 3 - 4 locals. Nevertheless, we had a fine day for our cruise, some went to the festivities (trade faire, militia drills, indian dances) while ashore at Ft. Loudon State Park, and after cruising back 20 miles we had a great picnic at Lenoir City Park. Needless to say, there was considerable discussion and admiration of all our Whalers. It was unanimously agreed that we will have another event next year, probably earlier in summer, and either at Lake Tellico again or at another of the beautiful big lakes in Tennessee.

Below are links to two collections of photos. The first was provided by committee member Eric Drumm(estress) and comes up as a Word document with captioned photos. Great job, Eric!

The second link is my collection of photos which I put a brief annotation on each one. I uploaded mine to the Photobucket website. It is my first attempt to do so and it works with some reservations. Somehow the photos are in reverse order in which they should be viewed, so start at number 17 and proceed in reverse. Photo 18 is one which was taken at a previous time but thought would include it.

This works well but it takes some time to call MS Word. Give it time.

Nice shots everyone. Looks like a great time and a fabulous location.

bc and Phil,

Thanks for making the photo links active. I still don't understand why they weren't activated in my post.

I can't believe I missed this event:( Looks like you all had a great time. I hope to be up that way soon, via Indianapolis, and will stop and stripe your boat for you Jim. All the boats looked so pretty and spiffed up, and what beautiful weather you all had!
Hopefully next time,...or maybe again before during the turn of the trees?
Take care,
Janis
