Nov. 13/14 We are planning a whaler cruise up the Pascagoula river. If weather permits we may also include a ride out to Horn Island.

The plan is to depart Gautier, MS sat. morning , cruise up the river and Bluff Creek , then about noon meet up with our trawler , to raft up for lunch, then explore a little longer and then return to Gautier about 4:30.

For those between Pensacola and New Orleans , Gautier is a 2 hr. or less drive so it can an easy 1 day trip.

For those wanting to speed the night check out www.tuceis.com.

Yes sat. is the first choice , but if weather wise sun looks better than sat. we can switch days.

We will be on one of the boats all weekend so we are okay with anything the group wants to do.

Long range weather looks good for Sat. 11/13/04

For those coming in on I-10 take exit 61 south ( gautier/vancleave rd.) about 3 miles to highway 90.

Take a left on 90 and go through 2 traffic lights. Just past the 2nd. light use the turning bay to the north to get on the service road as it veers away from 90.

This is De la Pointe and about 3 streets on your left will be the Gautier City Park. This is the ramp we will use.

We will leave the ramp as close to 9:00 am as we can.

We will probably run close to 50 miles so plan accordingly.

There will be a grill on the trawler so we can cook or you can pack a lunch, but we will not pass many places for supplies.

here's a map I hope http://www.mapquest.com/maps/map.adp?ovi=1&zoom=7&mapdata=RwuiQHYj5qmTOenPY1niXSXwluzuh66uANXTeZvfXwKiIkX%2fodocrscAt3olg6LyASQmDlnTxKhzu7fjKZv3SIwLT6hlf28IiN%2fGAcZ0dQ6DhYOdfYtEvE%2bj283MEbjzovGWmVRcxe6Z1uj7vf89FyfcctNVqUk8fqhpX8L2sN5yesr6OhKLooRmzMW2rayvei2RoiewBQGeoB4RRfcplNj%2fzIG6guP0n4Gg6ivIwdntqPCdqmmW8rERC4aG0cZoonYw1V6zmfyfrxapuY8Xo%2bVxEZhTAKAtRha8xtC9V5C0INBe3QYUs5pk2PTwRRBqDpECUnvJmft3giguik6v1o4JoCSKAYLb

Here of some photos of the tour. What a place 2manyboats took us. It was beautiful. The second photo is large for some reason but worth a look. Jim
