I is about time for beer and burgers at Hale's.

Would Sat Jan 15th at 3:30 work for all?
That isn't a firm date so if another would work better for you speak up.

Hale's is a great brew pub located in Ballard (Seattle WA).
Come on up and join us.

Dick: I would like to. I will put it on the calendar but it will have to be weather dependant. No way I am going to trailer the 15 up there from salem if it is freezing or snowing. So, is it near the ballard bridge, is there a nearby dock to tie up to. Which side of the waterway?

I will be there. Maybe I will drag the Revenge along for a critique from the experts.

Lloyd,

Hale's is not actually a place you can reach by boat. You drive there, though you can get pretty close by water, within a couple blocks...

Here's their web site with a link to directions and a map:

Brad,

Sure, bring the Revenge 22 along. We'd all like to see it.

Like Tom said it's a drive to place but we enjoy ourselves even without the boats.

I graduated from North Salem High and my sister still lives there. I sure don't miss the nasty winter weather that can hit there sometimes.

Dick and Tom: Thanks for the directions. I will see how things shake out after the holidays and try to make it.

You guys have all the fun. Even though Seattle is "close", 900 miles is still a bit to far.

Happy Holidays!

When you are talking about the 15th is that another Hale's meeting? Sorry I have not been able to make the last few. I am leaving tomorrow for DC and should be back in time. If so I will try and make it up there on saturday.

Anyone else hitting the boat show this weekend?
Taylor posted 01-14-2005 03:50 PM ET (US)     Profile for Taylor  Send Email to Taylor
My spouse seems to have gotten a little touch of boat fever, and she thinks we need a sailboat. A 41' ketch seems to have her heart. Hands off guys, she's spoken for. Anyway - she actually wants to go to the boat show (!?)- we'll probably be there on Sunday.

Hales on the 15th is out for me. Maighread has ski lessons on Saturdays this time of year - but have a Mongoose Ale for me and have a great time!

If you read this forum and/or have an interest in Whalers you are welome. It's allways nice to see a new face at the table and make a new friend.

Taylor

Sorry you can't make it, I'll drink your share of the beer.
When a wife wants to go to the boat show with her husband he is married to a wonderful lady.

I have a couple of morning appointments and then three of my five sister inlaws coming to the house for dinner...a pint or two around 3:30 should be just the medicine!
See you there,

It was great. For some strange reason about all we talked about was Whalers.

I'm so sorry I missed you guys on Saturday. I had to go over to Bainbridge Island and just couldn't quite make it work.

Who showed up?

Anything of significance discussed?

Any summer rendezvous plans?

Einar posted 01-17-2005 11:44 PM ET (US)     Profile for Einar  Send Email to Einar
Matt,Al,Brad,Taylor,Dick,John and Linust. The main topic was "where's Tom?" We voted, and TWC is in charge of the summer rendezvous. It was noted that when you weren't the driving force behind it, it didn't happen. We talked trailer brakes, fishing, towing capacity, sail boats (Taylor),woodworking, and beer. I can hardly wait for the next rendezvous.

Maighread cut me loose early from skiiing (plus the weather went to heck) just so I could attend. Topics? Linus indulged my current E46 M3 fixation. Another gearhead. It also turns out that he and I both worked at the same place back in '93. Small world.

And Tom - next time I drive two hours to have a beer with you... I really hope you're there!

Al - so I like sailboats...got a problem with that :) Isn't the Whaler the sailor's power boat of choice?

Tom W Clark posted 01-18-2005 09:02 PM ET (US)     Profile for Tom W Clark  Send Email to Tom W Clark
Taylor,

M3? What happened to the 964 idea? Have you peddled the Alfa yet?

And Taylor? Next time I spend two months organizing a rendezvous, check your steering before putting the boat in the water ;-)

Wow, talked sailboats too, huh? I'm really sorry I missed the event. I am also sorry to have not met Linus. I've met all the rest of you scoundrels.

I expected you to be the first one there, holding down the table with a pitcher of beer. Sorry you missed it. I had to leave early and missed out on the sail boat talk.
