I am heading down there in mid June - and have boated there before, just never fished. I was wondering if anyone has tips for some flounder fishing... location, what to use, etc. I have read up on flounder fishing online (its been awhile since I have done it) but I really want to catch a lot of 12in+ flounder!

Hi Jgstewart8,

We go down every year in July. The best thing to do is check with the dock master at Marlin Quay. He usually knows where they are and what they are biting. Last year everyone was doing well with cigar minnows on Carolina rigs (except us!)

If it is calm you may want to try Paradise Reef. About 5 miles out of the inlet. That time of year the Spanish are there and tearing up Clark spoons at a slow troll.

Good luck!

Billy
