Okay, who did this last year, and who wants to do it again? Who got the info on the ramp under the GW bridge. Was it Ryanwhaler? and a blow by blow of were and when they did what? Thanks in advance.

If you go to (you must put the www in for it to work) there is a list on the right w/ launch ramps on the Hudson. The one you are referring to is the Ft. Lee one. You might like the one in Jersey City better because it is more protected and you come out into NY Harbor directly behind the Statue of Liberty. Great place to launch from.

Check out the post "Trip around Manhatten"(sic)

When were you thinking of doing this?

Here is what I said last year and would do it again if I am available. Might want to check latest Coast Guard notice to mariners

Well I've done it! Not so rough as some people warned but we had a beautiful day. Took about 2 hours and 15 minutes. Railroad bridge at Spuyten Duyvil was closed and we had to wait for operator to open it. Trip down to Statue keeps you busy watching for boats crossing. Keep away from everything, piers, cruise boats,Coast Guard and the Statue herself. It is really quite worth the effort as photos show. Launch at Hazzards ramp under GW Bridge.
