Just a reminder, there was some previous interest in attending the Simmons Sea Skiff show at CCC next weekend. I dont know how to really incorporate BWs into it, but I felt like it might be of interest to some of us as it was a small NC builder who is recognized for the utility and seaworthiness of his design.

Anyone is welcome to shoot me an email, I cant promise I can answer any questions but I am planning on being at the show. andrewsj@email.unc.edu

Here is a link to the show with all the information:

grandpas68, I am hopeing I can swing by, if work allows, but in a pedestrian form only. I have a friend who shows his wood kayaks at that show. It is a great little display and seems to get much interest.
Will keep an eye out for ya'.

We shall aproach from the south on the river Cape Fear. You may see us but will not hear us, as our new 60 hp 4 stroke Yamaha is quiet as a mouse. Rigging just completed moments ago, time to celebrate the with a cool libation.

Tomorrow dawns a new day. It has been many, many years since I have owned a vessel with a new or near new powerplant. I look forward to a carefree day cruising on the river, no smoke; no clatter and clang; not grease under my fingernails, I will even leave the tools at the dock.

The varnish is fresh and thick, the gel all buffed and shined, everything is new again. Look for a classic 15, with all smiles aboard!

I was there for a bit in the morning, didnt recognize any CW people but I enjoyed the show. Minus that whole hell like heat thing. Lots of cool stuff to look at.

I was there from around 1030 to Noon, met a couple of folks I know but no CW peeps. Almost fell in love with a 18ft Sailing boat, but I have no idea where the $8000+ was going to come from, and of course the first mate would have a few words to say if I rolled home with another boat! Ha ha...
