On September 29th there will be a gathering of Antique and Classic Boats at Reynolds Plantation, Lake Oconee, GA. This is held at the pavillion by the Marina. Ice, water ramp, dock space, BBQ grill supplied by Reynolds, food supplied by ACBS, BlueRidge Chapter. This event is to take the children and the families from the Brain Tumor Foundation for Children, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation out for a day on the water. Besides having a collection of antique boats we will also be having 1 or more Amphicars (cars that drive down a boatramp and out into the water). This is a fantastic event where we share our "pride and joys" with these families to help them forget their problems. We also let the children captain the boats, so the parents take pictures of them. Just wanted to put this back on top of the bulletin board.
This is not strickly a wooden boat event - this is a share your pride and joy with families that need a distraction and a day out on the water.
