Gents--This summer lets try and get together and share some good times and the best boats on Earth! We've tried to make this happen before but too many of us, myself included, had excuses or life get in the way of Whalering. I am open to suggestions for dates after June 15th. Remember, good times don't happen by accident. Well, sometimes that could happen but lets try and make it this year. Best, Brant Fagan Great Island Lake Sunapee, NH

What's the deal with launching at Sunapee. Can anyone use the town ramp next to the little marina and cruise boat? Can you park around the corner on the street where the regulars park? I was there last summer w/o a Whaler and are considering bringing either the 11 or 18. One more question - do you have a sailboat in CT by the name Firebrand?...Bob |

Gents--The ramp in Sunapee Harbor is free and there is a new trailer launch route through town to make a better flow of traffic through an already congested area move more efficiently. Parking is along the Sugar River and down below in lots in the Lower Village area. Get in early and save a serious uphill walk. Bob, no I don't have a sailboat in CT although I do work there. Alan, I have been VERY busy this year and am working locally for Carlisle Wide Plank Floors which has been both an education and a treat to be shooting HD locally and for such a great family and product. Check out www.wideplankflooring. Also check out the new www.brantsfagan.com site. I suggest something in June such as 16, 17 or June 23, 24. Thoughts....? Best, Brant |

Gents--How's Saturday, June 16th sound? Even though Sunday is Father's Day, I think that could work as well. I know I would like to spend Father's Day out with my wife and boys running the Whaler around the Lake!! Alan, Carlisle found me through the local grapevine. I haven't had time to go looking for work locally as I have been travelling for features and commercials to NYC and Boston. One film I worked on, "Evening," was shot down in Newport, RI and showcases some really nice antique boats and cars from the 1940s and 1950s. The film opens June 29th. Check out imdb.com for information and trailers. Best, Brant |

I may try to run up from CT with a little 11' Whaler that day just to get the feel for the lake - publish the meeting time and location and if it works out I'd like to swing by and say hello!Look for the Whaler loving Dalmatian fire dog standing up front with his life jacket on. Bob |

Gents--Due to my ever filling schedule, I would like to move the Sunapee Whaler Gathering to June 30th. I hope this turns out to be a better arrangement for people and since it's later in the year, gives more time to prepare. Best, Brant |

Brant -With the date change I may be able to make it. Having Riverwhaler come all the way from Vermont to our Piscatisquis River gathering has got me thinking "Yea!, I can do this!" CBO

Just wondering if anyone made the Sunapee rendezvous? We were not able to make it. Today we went over to Sunapee and launched in Sunapee Harbor and enjoyed the lovely lake for a few hours. We would have liked to stay on the water longer but our trip got cut short by the weather. We are thinking of going back in the fall to enjoy some of the scenery from the water. |

Gents--I have been all over New England and finally seem to have some weekends, and mid-week time available, in the coming month. Feel free to drop by Great Island, east side, if you are in the mood to cruise Sunapee. If you can, drop a line so I know who may show up. If you are curious as to what I do in the film industry, check my site out www.brantsfagan.com Best, Brant |
