It is official, Irish will not be hosting a 2009 BW Owners Rendezvous. Talked to Doug at the Traverse City Boat show, he said they are planning one for 2010. He did say if the GLBWOC would like to use IBS in Charlevoix for a rendezvous, they could probably provide vehicle and trailer parking and maybe a few other things.
What about Grand Traverse Bay for July 4th or Labor Day weekend? It is time to make plans for this summer.

Considering the number of new Boston Whalers and loose Mercury engine repowers they sold at last years event, I'm amazed they aren't having the event again this year.
But we should all organize our own event, at their Charlevoix Ferry Street Marina. That way we won't have to sit around and listen to sales pitches on boats we have no intention of ever buying!

If we do organize something at Charlevoix, keep in mind the marina is very full on Labor Day weekend with a big sailing regatta. We cruised in there on a Friday last year and got the last slip. They're generally full for Labor Day.
