posted 05-04-2009 04:36 PM ET (US)         Im interested in a Boston Whaler 230 Outrage 2000-2002 year models. Can anyone tell me how well the 230 outrage handle rough water and how would you compare it to an older 22 Mako (my last boat)in handling typical conditions out to 25 miles offshore. One of my main concerns is also with the Optimax engines of that era. Is it safe to assume if an Optimax 225 from years 2000-2002 has received all the updates that it will be as reliable as a more recent optimax or are these engines lemons. Also why when looking through Whalers reference and also the reference material on this site it make no mention of this model and production from the years I listed, its very hard to find any reviews of this boat. Any help greatly appreciated
