We have been twice to Voyageurs National Park. In 2006 we rented a houseboat out of Ash River and pulled our SUPER SPORT 15. . Used it for scouting and side trips. My son and I went again in 2008 out of Crane Lake, Minnesota, in our new 170 Montauk.
I prefer the Crane Lake departure. It is 30 miles to the Hotel at Kettle Falls. I wonderful leasurely day trip with lots of interesting distractions along the way. My son and I portaged at Kettle Falls and spent anothe two days exploring our way to International falls. We camped and stayed at the Kettle Falls hotel. It was about 135 miles one way from Crane Lake to Int Falls of course with lots of goofing around. We may or may not get back there in 2010. So many other trips we are working on. But Voyagers is one of our favorites. August would likely be my preferred month as bugs are on the wane and rain least likely. I have lots O pics.

Where are your pictures? Do you have them online? A nice trip report would be great winter reading....
