June 19th. Pelican lake is located due east of Nisswa Mn about eight miles.

The lake is 8,200 acres of the clearest water in the state!

Sandy bottom with many five foot deep shoals to drop anchor over and take a dip.

Trying to get the word out now so folks can plan to meet other Boston Whaler owners in and around the state.

Should be a fun time . Based on the numbers I estimate over thirty plus boats to show...maybe more.

The alternate rain out date will be June 26th.

Sounds great...How are the water levels on Pelican?

"Based on the numbers I estimate over thirty plus boats to show...maybe more." As this is the first posting for this event,at least on CW, where do you come up with these numbers? This would be a phenominal gathering of whalers in MN. Are you affiliated with a dealership?

I have been waiting to see how this would progress.

Pelican Lake is a fine fishing lake. However, I can't imagine trailering all the way up there to just putz around in circles; there's nowhere to go and not much to see.

I doubt 10000 Lakes will be back anytime soon, but I suspect this is somehow tied to Breezy Point Resort.

Thanks Dave. We do not want drama queens to show up. Stick with Lake Mich and Superior..far away from others who arent quite so whiney.

Hold on 10000 Lakes...
I've been to Pelican twice, it's nice but it's a really big pond. I would consider coming because of the whalers, NOT the lake. Whitefish or Gull Lake Chain are much, much nicer, more diverse, somewhere to go.
I have the same concerns as David. Keep us informed as to the gathering of whalers...attitude on the web is not becoming.
Use our name...

Pelican was chosen because of its sand and beauty. Another consideration was the LACK of city idiots blasting around the lake like Gull and Cross etc.

The goal is family time for ALL sizes of Whalers. I do not think someone with a thirteen wants to get tossed around as someone blasts by at 80 MPH in a Cigarette or Fountain.

If you dont want to come just dont come.

I am now feeling bad about even trying to post on this website.

I will post on Craigs in the future. Thanks

And no David P...this is in no way related to the resort you spoke of. What difference that would make to anyone is beyond me.

Get together has been cancelled. Let the thread die now. Thanks much.
