Who says fishing and boating isn't a contact sport? I've got the bruises to prove it. :-)

I was solo Sunday and made a run from Bodega Bay to Anchor Bay (50 miles north). Even though the water was pretty flat, I still got pounded by my 170 Montauk.

I like the abuse so much that I'm going again tomorrow.

I hope everyone is having a great Whaler season.

You got that right, Dell. A couple of years ago my boat partner WT/Warren woke up bored, and decided he'd take a little solo cruise in his MT 170 from Sacramento down the river, across the SF Bay, and under the Golden Gate...and return in one day. Two hundred miles bouncing around, with a fuel stop or two along the way. And man, the Bay gets real nasty most afternoons, and Suisun Bay ain't no walk in the park, either, heading down or back.

Animal for sure. Just wonder what kind ;-)
