Hello all, though I was pretty much absent from this summers Great Lakes Boston Whaler Cruising Clubs activities, I'm still around and kicking.... I'm proposing at this time that Nancy & I host the GLBWCC Holiday Rendezvous on Saturday December 15, 2012. This being said please chime in if you'll be able to participate so we can get a number that will make it viable. I'll be contacting Dave Zammit tomorrow morning to make sure we can start the day at the GLBWCC Clubhouse AKA Lockeman's Hardware & Boats. I'll also be contacting Mike Stennet at Nautical Lumber to see if we can make a stop at his new digs to see what they look like. Any other ideas for the daytime "Field Trip" portion of the event would be appreciated. Hopefully we can pull this off, I look forward to seeing you all Pat |

I will be there. Also, for the formal meeting portion, I want to nominate Kevin Albus for President of the Great Lakes Boston Whaler Cruising Club for 2013. I hope to get support for that nomination. See you there. Remember, according to by-laws, you must have been on at least one GLBWCC event in the current year. Attending the Holiday Rendezvous counts as one event. |

I second the nomination of Kevin for President. Does MN get more electoral votes than MI? |

There are only three of us that I know of (maybe Mike Gephart, too), but I can't support Kevin since he went to the dark side. I do like the lines of OUTLIER, though. I'd like to see pictures of the cuddy. |

The jury is still out on whether I support Kevin for president or not. This may sound shallow but, I want to see what he brings to eat before I decide..... Pat |

Wish we could make it but...we are enjoying boating in FL. We have done a several segments of the Intracoastal waterway from NC to FL. I'm sure you understand our dilemma ,,, MI or FL? We did a segment of the St Johns river from Astor, FL today. Finally saw an Alligator today, dead, rapped up in a crab pot line. Good to run in fresh/dark water again, reminded us of the water of the St Croix. Hope you have a great Party. Merry Christmas to all. Hal and Margaret |

Hello All, Just got back from our field trip to Lockeman's and Nautical Lumber. Thanks to Dave & Doug and Mike respectively for taking the time & effort to host us again. In an effort to entertain Dave Pendleton, our farthest traveling participant having drove 11 hours from the Twin Cities of Minnesota, he was granted a wish at Lafayette Coney Island in downtown Detroit (between donuts at Lockeman's and Pizza at Nautical Lumber). I think he may be addicted after only two coneys. Here's the guest list for tonight as it stands now. Pat & Nancy anyone else in the area that wants to join us, give a call & stop by Shindig starts at 7:00pm plenty of food on the bill of fare, bring an appetite!

Dave P should get a prize for longest drive to attend. I think we had some drop-in's from Florida last year, but they flew in. It was great to see everyone. Even four hours of drinking and talking is not enough to catch up on everyone's news. It was very nice to see everyone. Pat and Nancy get a special thanks for hosting the event. |

Have one important announcement to make concerning election results. There appears to have been some irregularities in the voting. An audit revealed: --someone named Hiram Walker voted three times, and --a John Molsen--not actually even on our membership roster--appears to have voted at least seven times. As a result, the election of a new Commodore has been declared null and void. A new election will be planned and you will be notified of the time and place as soon as the details are fixed. In other matters, the amendment to the By-Laws to allow past members who temporarily no longer own a Boston Whaler boat to continue as full members was carried by a voice vote. The proposal to change the name of the GLBWCC to the Great Lakes Brunswick and Whaler Cruising Club was defeated. |
