I am going to buy a Bimini top for my 13' Sport. The Dave's upholstery red top is what I have seen at boat shows and dealers. It mounts to the rail and lacks a boot but comes as part of a nice seat package.

I checked with Mills and they have a blue top with boot for $553. I am leaning towards the Mills top.

Any words of wisdom about tops out there?

No words of wisdom Dave, just Mills is the best period --- Tom
PS just ordered new canvas for our 27 ccc from Mills the other day, cost was $854 plus shipping --- worth every penny ---
pacific blue is the traditional color used on most Whalers, very early ones used tan canvas

I`ve got the Tan mooring cover on my 73` `16 Currituck. I`ve seen both colors and am glad I got the Tan, but the Blue is nice to. Regards-Jack Graner.P.S. Buy the Mills and you won`t go wrong, mine was $700.

Dave,
I got the Captains Blue mooring cover & Bimini, which is very dark and I love it! It fits and looks great. The Captains blue matches the Whaler insignia on the side of my 2001 Dauntless.

In another thread, one caution was how the top lays [or is it "lies"] on the boat when it is down. Somebody on here had one that was down in front of the anchor hold, and everytime he pulled up the anchor he got mud all over it!
