Any one out there with personal experience with this boat. Anything good or bad. Ride, quality, Engine problems (optimax 225)
Thanks in advance

I've been on one near Sanibel Island in the Gulf. Fast enough, handling was great. This boat had twin 225 Optis, which seemed to be more than adequate, even in heavy seas. Had a genset and air, which were very quiet. I liked the boat alot. I have heard of some isolated incidents in which there were some problems with keeping the engines running, and in one case the fuel lines from the tank were too long, and instead of being cut to the correct length, they were coiled up in the bilge; the fuel pumps were unable to overcome the tubing resistance, hence the problems. With a hardtop, canvas, and the other options, they're pricey but I think they're fabulous.

I just took my new 28 Conquest for the first outing today. Nice handling boat, it cuts right through the chop with minimal pounding. The 225's seem to push the boat very well. The fit and finish of the boat is first rate. My only complaint is that while on a plane the boat rides bow high making it hard to see at times. I attempted to use the tabs to help but not quite.
This boat is really nice though....It is my second new whaler this year, I bought a 21 Outrage in febuary. I guess I am biased.....

The Conquest is a really nice boat. Well thought out, and very roomy for a true weekender. The one thing that bothered me was that the deck sort of flexed in the aft part of the cockpit. So does the cockpit deck on the 26 Outrage ... I take delivery of mine this coming Friday.... YIPPEEEE!!!
