Hello everyone
Last year I bought a new Outrage 18" 2000 here in Poole, UK and I'm disappointed to find that the pedesatal pilot seats do not go up and down. They obviously swivel and go forwards and backwards but when sitting my feet don't touch the floor. Also there are no foot rests of any kind. Has anybody encountered this with the same or previous models and if so how have you got over it.
Does anyone manufacture foot rests for pedestal seats?
Does anyone produce a cockpit table
Incidentally to give you all a laugh I paid $34,000 for it (inc.175 yamaha ex trailer)on the water !!
Good price in the UK.

Regarding foot rests, search for "foot rests" in the search window at www.westmarine.com. You should see in the results a foot rest for pedestal seats made by Todd. To get the up and down feature, you need to replace the pedestals with vertically adjustable pedestals. However, on late model outrages, I have noticed that Whaler puts a tie bar between the two pedestal seats which may be for structural reasons. So before you replace, check with Whaler to see how important the tie bar is if you have one. Cockpit tables of a wide variety of styles and supports from the deck are available.

Thanks Peter - As you can probably make out this is my first Whaler and its fantastic!!
Any ideas where extendable posts are available from?
I've tried Whalerparts.com but it wont let me enter - any ideas why not.
I think in the UK, customising is not really the done thing on Whalers and being typically English we just put up with it!

http://www.westmarine.com/ has extendible
posts and will ship internationally. Any
decent chandlery should be able to get the
posts. whalerparts.com is for genuine whaler
parts.
