dhlaw	posted 07-21-2001 10:45 PM ET (US)         I live about fifteen minutes from the Whaler plant and some of the people in my neighborhood work there. In fact the president Mike Meyers lives a few houses down as well as the director of marketing. The marketing person had a bunch of Whalers at her house today as I passed by on my way out for a ride in the river. On the way back I noticed that one of the boats was brand new (hull) and a big contender was there with a photo tower. Obviously they were doing brochures. The new boat was a Conquest 235 I think... The hull was really nice, it almost looks like a glacier bay cat from a profile. The gunnels are really high and the boat sat up out of the water. It was rigged with twin 150 optis (yikes). The dash is all new with a rounded style gauge cluster. I am going to sneak a few photos tomorrow morning with the digital camera and I will attempt to post them. If the looks are any indication we better get some money saved up cause the new hull looks oohhh sooo sweet!!!!
