Does anyone have the specs on this model? If they are posted somewhere on this board I have not been able to find them.
I believe the last year this model was made was '99. It looks like the same hull as the 17' Justice shown in the current Commercial & Gov't Products division catalogue. The specs for the 17' Justice are as follows:
Length: 17'6"
Beam 7'0"
Weight 1825 lbs (assume heavier than Outrage 17 model?)
Max-Min HP: 150-90
Shaft length 25"
Fuel cap: 54 gal.

Are these the same specs as the 17' Outrage from the late 90's?

Can any Outrage 17 owners give me comments on the performance of this boat, as compared to other whalers of similar size?

Why did Whaler stop making this model?

Thanks in advance.

Can the 1825 lbs be correct? The "classic" 18' Outrage (19' by today's standards, I think) weighs 1250 lbs.

I have a 1996 17 Outrage. Great boat, with 150hp Mariner I have a top speed of about 42mph. Very comfortable ride (as compared to my old 17' Super Sport Limited!) Great fishing platform and great for Skiing also, good overall family boat
