Ficht Injection Oil Leak, Bomb covers warranty work

Finally figured out why my 2001 Ficht 115 was leaking injection oil. Turns out 2 lower bolts on my power head sheared off and Injection oil was leaking from the holes. The Sheared bolts heads where still under the engine so the dealer thinks it was a defective batch of bolts.
Bomb is covering all repairs and replacing all the power head bolts. Could have been a major engine failure. I am just glad they are standing behind the Ficht technology.

Can you give me an idea where these bolts are located? I would like to take a look at mine as I have the same engine.
Curious....is this on a Montauk? If so what prop and speeds are you using and getting. Rex

No, mine is working just fine. I am really happy with it.
I first tried a 14x17" SS cupped prop on my Montauk but it turned too many rpm's. Now I have a 13 7/8 X 19" Viper prop and it turns up nicely to 5600rpm which makes 42kts (plenty fast for me). Rex

You still have that 14X17 prop? what kind was it?

Nope, sorry Gene but I sold it. It was a OMC Renegade, very nice but wrong pitch. Good luck. Rex
