I would like to add a live well to my 1996 17 Outrage. I am told by BW that I can purchase a 1/4 seat live well for my boat (BW part number 500-05051). The cost from a deal for the parts alone is $412.00. Does anyone have this option? It seems very pricey for a pump and some tubing, unless I am missing somthing. Any thoughts or suggesting would be great

I also have a '95 17 Outrage that has the leaning post with live well. I don't know if that is what you are looking at but it is very nice since I prefer to stand when steering anyway.

Sorry, meant to say '96 Outrage.

Twin cities marine can order the kit for quarter seat livewell from boston whaler and drop ship to you for less money and no taxes. To install you have to drill a hole from starboard quarter seat compartment to motor well to port quarter seat compartment (lots of holes!). Personally, I don't think it's worth the cost or time, and the quarter seat compartment is pretty small. Maybe you can buy a leaning post with a livewell or one of those 5 gal portable livewells.
