Has anyone out there tried tabs on a Dauntless yet? Concerns are for getting up on plane with a 90 hp 4 stroke Merc. I've gone from a 16 pitch to 15 to 14 SS props. Might try a Doell fin, but I dive off of it and don't want to snap them off every weekend. If tabs are measurably better, I could swallow the higher expense.

fno- The "Montouk Trim Tabs" thread currently going on in PERFORMANCE section of this site may shed some light on your post. David

fno~ Last Friday we purchased a 16' Dauntless with a F115 YAM. During the sea test we noticed the boat porpoised quite a bit and rode with the bow high. We had our dealer install a doelfin, which totally solved the problem and lowered the rpms to plane from 3700 to 3200. I don't have a GPS yet so I can't give you mph for these rpm's. For the cost the doelfins seem a much better buy. Hope this helps
