I recently bought a new 18ft Outrage from a dealer who had one left over. I recieved all the warranties. The Boat has a 135 Optimax, Dual battery wiring, Leaning post with cooler, Coaming Bolster Aft, Sun Top with boot, Ski Pylon Compass, cover for the center consol, No Trailer. I paid 26,500 plus tax. Did I over pay? Also am I going to have truoble getting a single slalom skier up, who weighs 200 or less?

I think you did pretty well on the price. There are used ones on various online listing sites that range from $24K- 33K...compared to those prices, your $26.5K for a new one with warranties looks good to me.

My next door neighbor has the twin to your boat except no leaning post...it will pull up a slalom skier no sweat...plenty of oomph in that Opti 135!

Congratulations...great boat!

Tom

Thanks for the comment, this is my first boat, my folks had ski boats growing up. however I needed a boat I could take on Lake Michigan, and a ski boat didn't seem to fit, especially since I enjoy fishing. I lived for a few years in Maine and fell in love with Boston Whalers. however the pricing threw me off in comparison to other boats of similar size when I started to price them.

I just traded my 16 daunteless for a outrage 18 1999 or 2000 model, i'm not sure, Motor says Sept 99 on it. I got it 2nd hand with a trailer. Has a 150 v6 bluewater series engine, lesst hen 100hrs on the boat. Bimini top, compass, duel batteries, perko switch and ski post. The seat is a forward-reversable, " wish it was leaning post. I can put a cooler underneath it i suppose. I paid 28k flat. 14k in trade-in for dauntelss, exactly what i paid for it and 14k cash for the difference. I also has trim tabs, which in antigua make a world of difference. Congrats on your boats, sounds like you got a good deal.

thanks for the reply, it sounds like with the trailer and larger motor we are both in the same neighborhood in terms of price, enjoy!
