I recently purchased my first Whaler (had othe center consoles)) and love it but it has no "fishing package." I ordered the kit from the dealer and wonder if anyone can give me tips on installation. My concern is drilling the holes in the sole and hull properly and also "fishing" the intake and drain lines to the livewell. Thanks in advance

One idea is to go to www.whalerparts.com and look at the parts drawings as they are really assembly drawings for the shop floor. Mind you, they mostly use templates for hole drilling but the hookup will be shown. I have a 16 Dauntless with the livewell and can look at it next week for you. Maybe even pull it out to see whats underneath.

Thanks for the reply.
I've checked the site that you mentioned, but they don't show the boots that the fill and drain lines go through in the sole of the boat. These boots are the same as the boot around the motor lines in the transom well. My concern is missing the gas tank as I drill these large holes to install the boots and getting the plastic pieces under the sole and riveting. I'm sure I'll get it ok...just a little concerned.

Well, it looks like a bigger job than I thought. To drill the pump hole, you have to take off the deck to get a straight shot at drilling through the hull. Also that is necessary to install the boots that the intake and drain line go through. Any one had to go through all this?
